Kids may be very unusual to the responsibility of their parents. Going to school, might be the biggest task they have ever faced. Taking care of their parents can be the first step for children to learn that they are helpful and useful like any member of their families.
Your introduction looks like good, and have a nice statement. I think you used the funnel way, but I would recommend each sentence would be better if you made it as more fit or organized. Anyway, your idea seems to be effective.
